Good books

Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell
A great read - of course I seem to enjoy just about anything by him as he always has a different way of looking at things.

Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates
Not an uplifting book but it should lead us into some great discussions at bookclub.

Lazy B: Growing Up on a Cattle Ranch in the American Southwest by Sandra Day O'Connor and H. Alan Day
Another bookclub book...

How can I not be reading more than this?!?!?!

It seems like I read for hours and hours at night (that insomnia is a bad deal!) but somehow I don't seem to be getting through many books...

Wideacre by Philipa Gregory

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
I must admit that this was my first Jane Austen - I enjoyed it more than I thought I would so I may have to add another of hers to my to be read pile.

Her books make me laugh out loud. Funny, funny memoir about life in Chicago with a husband and two dogs.

Helping Gifted Children Soar by Carol A. Strip with Gretchen Hirsch

Another book

I just finished:

The Kid (What Happened When my Boyfriend and I Decided to get Pregnant) by Dan Savage.

I probably wouldn't have read it if it hadn't been a book club book becasue I never would have found it, but I am glad I did. It was funny and interesting and really shed a whole new light on open adoption for me.

Finished

I finally finished

Watership Down by Richard Adams

I did enjoy it in the end - it just took me a while to get through!

I also read Genius Denied by Jan and Bob Davidson
